Dear to be Dearest!
By Dr. Paul P. Roche, PhD.*

Not a single stint of breeze
Quietness complete except for birds
Calling the night to sleep,
Chirping their songs
Into a poem for the evening,
Singing
A long love tune,
Soothing hymn for the soul,
Solace for the troubled sadness
But a budding joy for the morning.

--Paul A. Roche, Toronto, 25 May 2006,
(Poem for a very dear friend GV).
